If all you want to do is distort faces, you can try the "Liquify" filter and play with that. Jeffrey

Yeah- ditto here- if you need anything in particular let me know. I work on it for all day long.

Check out Photoshop Clas sin a Book- they come with a CD Rom- great instructions that were actually used in the class I took- there was no need for the teacher. The book was awesome.

Great leads, thanks. It has been frustrating. Perfect winter project when I come down in 128 days!

I'm familiar with Photoshop. I heavily used Photoshop 6-7, and again recently am using CS3.

I was just thinking of you. I ran into Hunter a few days ago.

As for photoshop, is there anyone who knows how to do everything it is capable of? I would love a copy of photoshop, but the bucks are big which you must fork over to receive a copy, so I stick with a more basic program which was included with some purchase I made long ago, like a printer or camera. Even it gets a little tricky if you don't use the features regularly. From what I remember, there are a few photoshop junkies on this board, so hopefully, you will see some answers soon. Happy New Year!

If anti-proprietary, or just unwilling to spend on the product/obtain it via certain methods...
http://www.gimp.org - Excellent photo manipulation program. Open source.

If you want certain features, the GIMP has plug-ins:

The interface differs greatly from Photoshop, but it mostly has the same capabilities. I use this on my open source operating system, and before I got CS3.

Generally, Photoshop handles printing better. But it is possible to set up and use Photoshop's colour profile in the GIMP.

Using google, and forums dedicated to either of the programs has been my method of learning things.
