"Advice to a Trasher" essay with photos. Please comment. Advice to a Trasher, Ay Yi Yi

On my Sunday morning lake 2 lake hike with camera and trash pickup bag, I try to honor my New Year's resolution to be less judgmental. Advice on how to trash more effectively, for passengers, truckers, and drinkers all. I see you!

I can't believe how much less trash we have had on the beach in front of our neighborhood as compared to previous years. Walton County is doing a great job in our neighborhood by tossing away abandoned beach paraphanalia and just trash. It seems like I used to be the one who hauled all of that junk to a dumpster. It's great not to have to do that with my bad knee.

what is the first photo?
These photos are not meant to stand alone. The link to the article turned into the bold blue letters. Click them to read the article.

The photo is some broken up wood. The knot looked like an eye to me. Since it splintered, it is halfway back to being natural wood. The arcs reminded me of Gothic arches, so it has a religious feel. I guess I'm seeing poetry that may or may not happen for someone else. In the larger photo available in the article, the setting is deer lichen. To me the photo is symbolic of the ambivalent mix of nature and our stuff. It makes more sense if you click the link and read the article.

I love it when people can pick up trash non-judgmentally and meditatively, and even make art of it! but when it makes you angry and *****y the whole time you are doing it (as I have had to listen to some folks growl and complain about their fellow trashy human beings) then its just not worth it to me to have to hear about it. I do understand their frustration, but what good is the exercise of picking up and cleaning earth when you are angry the whole time? I like your photo essay.
