Ok, Allifunn and Cork, what were your most memorable meals during your travels, especially ideas we can make in the U.S. that are different from what we typically eat?

:drink2: ...they did eat, didn't they? ;-)

Sorry Mermy...I just now saw this post.....
All our meals were memorable...but my most favorite were the ones we had on the train...we bought food and wine in the station or in the surrounding city and feasted in our first class private table ;-) we were the envy of everyone....do you think they figgured out we were tourists???:funn:
To tell you the truth...some of the best food was in the train stations!!!! All kinds of delectiable foods to eat!
I loved the German food, Italian food and the Austrian food...

I was just teasing ya. I agree with you about trains and stations and food. We always pack a sumptuous picnic and eat it on the trains when we're travelling. And one of the best dinners we ever had was in Naples, Italy, at the train station. It's in a really seedy area of the city but I swear the meal we had there was top notch. And the people were so nice, too, so it made for a great memory.
