By Definition: "A lawyer who specializes in bringing cases seeking damages for personal injury".

I'd like to think Walton County is relatively free of such sleaze bag attorneys but unfortunately there are a few. If you are in need of an attorney, please do your research.

Ambulance Chasers/Slip & Fall Attorneys are relatively easy to spot. They often have glamorous websites replete with images and videos, boasting of their prowess in courtrooms and staged images in front of Courthouses dressed in suits/ties and sporting fake (or perhaps real) Rolex watches, with "image is everything"attitudes and they make hyperbole claims that can't be substantiated or proven.

They have track records in courtrooms and because of the "Freedom of Information Act" people now have access to court records which could disprove such bogus claims by said attorneys. They may also have their own less than stellar reputations and/or their own run ins with the law, in the courts, in neighboring counties alleging misconduct like dating violence, rape, traffic violations or other nefarious deeds including poor representation of their clients which have cost the client exorbitant amounts of money, the loss of their cases, their children (in civil matters) and maybe even their homes, jobs and livelihood.

Please don't be fooled. Do the research. Get the facts you need to know before hiring an attorney who may or may not have your best interests at heart. It could save you untold misery and money!

I was disgusted by the giant heads on billboards I started seeing on city roads years ago. Now they are on interstates. Must be due to the fact that when I was at University 25 years ago there were more kids in law school than there were lawyers in the world. For decades we've been churning out lawyers. I remember a time when lawyers considered it crass to even advertise. Unethical even.

When I first started seeing the billboards with "INJURED?" in 20 foot tall red letters I immediatley assumed it was a call for drivers and passengers who were ready to carry out insurance wreck fraud, and for the rare chance that there was an actual accident within eye shot. But mostly advertising for fraudsters. Am I wrong?

No baiting. No ax. To dislike someone you must know them and fortunately I do not. Just think people should be aware and do the research if they are in need of an attorney.
