Amore' Pizza and Smiling Fish Cafe questions

1. It's been a long time since I've heard anyone on SoWal mention Amore' Pizza - How is it under new owners? I think we would enjoy eating out on their deck. Any thoughts?

2. Can anyone recommend Smiling Fish Cafe's Cashew Chicken Salad? I've been hungry for chicken salad and the last I had was rather bland.
Theirs sounds good: "CASHEW CHICKEN – roasted chicken salad, spring mix, tomato, cashews, sprouts, garlic-chili sauce"

3. Gulf Place used to have concerts on Sunday evenings. I can't find any mention of that for one over Memorial Weekend. .. Anyone know?

Hope to go to Blue Mountain Beach and try Sally's Backside and Grayton to Hibiscus for brunch.

It has always been our favorite pizza place at beach---and it was never close. We have been several times since the change, and the pizza quality seems unchanged--really good.
While I dont know about the cashew chicken at Smiling Fish, the reason is we cant bring ourselves to order anything other than the Panko shrimp salad----unbelievable!

Amore is FANTASTIC!! The deck is awesome, the pizza is great, there are happy hour drink specials and karaoke on Saturday nights. I think live music on Sunday afternoon too is what I heard this week.

I agree with groveral. The Panko Shrimp Salad at Smiling Fish is yummy! I haven't had a meal at Sally's Backside but a friend had the meatloaf & was raving about it. And Redd at Sally's is a must see!

The Cashew Chicken Wrap at Smiling Fish is my favorite! The Crispy Duck Spinach Salad is also wonderful! I am not sure about Sunday evening concerts at Gulf Place; however, I do see that Gulf Place is having a Memorial Day Kick-off Concert with Forrest Williams Band on Friday evening, May 27 from 6-9 pm.

If you want to try a different chicken salad in SOWAL, I suggest you try it at Barefoot BBQ in Seaside. The chicken is smoked and it is really unique. Can't say I have had it at Smiling Fish, but I am sure it is good there, too.
