Anole Lizards

I have so many anole lizards running around my current place here in LA. I wonder, do you guys have them in SoWal? Here's a pic I took. One of ours is named Sauron btw. This must be Sauron and some damsel.

Love that photo! Yes, we have them here, at least by Camp Creek Lake - I love watching them... I swear they stop and listen whenever I talk to them.

Gidg....you are so funny! We have our share.....I have about a dozen or so in our "tropical" backyard. When we water the plants it looks like jurassic park as they come out for a drink. Dogs love to chase them. Cat actually use to catch them until she decided to become a lazy ole gal. She would come to the back door and we would hear a muffled meow and knew what that meant. Either mouse or lizard. The would be hanging out of her mouth with that "get this b**ch off of me look. She would put them down and off they would scamper....

HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!! Thats is SO great to hear! I love my guys so much - they are part of the family - along with the skinks (do y'all have skinks too??)

Skinks are everywhere here as are fence lizards, which look so cool. An old classmate of mine in elementary school, back in Louisiana, had a pet anole that he would bring with him to class. It would jump from the desk back onto his shirt. Neat memory.

We've got a permanent skink population in our garage, which I'm all for because they'll take out cockroaches.
