Another new fire between 79 in PC and inlet beach

New posts
Channel 13 is reporting on it now. It's east of Wild Heron, and has jumped Back Beach Road. Sounds like it's getting close to structures.

Oh no, we rent in Inlet Beach. But way west of Hwy 79. That is getting a little too close. We may not have a place to come to in August. Hope IBD's place is safe. It is across 98 up that road by the Spicy Noodle. That fire is going to burn up everything down there if they cannot get it under control. :bang:

Channel 13 just said it is near the Wild Heron Development entrance and it has crossed 98; alot of homes near there. The wind is blowing it away from Inlet beach.

I know exactly where you are talking about. We've been walking in that area of homes across 98 from the Wild Heron Development. So sad to hear. :( We do our running around in PC Beach. Were they able to contain any of the fire that people in Point Washington were smelling? That is where Eden Gardens is. One of my favorite places to visit.

I was driving back from the PC airport about 5:15 and got shuffled off to Front Beach. At that time it looked like most or all of the fire was north of 98, but I've since heard (don't know if it's true) that some houses in Riviera Beach were on fire.

Bad news.

6:00pm news said some structure damage on homes, though they didn't specify if it was more than the peeled off (from heat) siding they were showing in the film clips.

Also, the firefighters were having to expand the perimeter, and it was probably going to be several hours before it could be considered to be contained.

Does anyone know were I can get internet coverage of this? I don't get Channel 13.

Thanks,
