Anti-war groups fizzle under Obama

New posts
Lakeview, you sporting your cheerleader skirt and pom poms? :D Failing to understand and participate constructively defines you. It's unfortunate.

Since I come here for correct information, Facts and Sources are always going to be my home team. Go Team Go!

You say Obama is weak with nothing but Op Ed pieces to support your belief. If I write an op ed that says my dog is to blame for Egypt because he is too weak would you believe it?

Back to Obama. Let's start with the war on terror. He's weak?

Just last month on CNN's State of the Union, not one but two top Bush administration intelligence officials made the point that this White House has been just as tough - if not tougher on the War on Terror as George W.

One is Bush?s former National Intelligence Director and retired Navy Vice Admiral Michael McConnell. The other is Former Central Intelligence Agency Director Michael Hayden, a retired Air Force general.

My favorite quote-

"The new administration has been as aggressive, if not more aggressive, in pursing these issues because they're real."

Here's the transcript-

Here's another for you-

Missile attacks targeting Al Queda operatives in Pakistan's tribal areas have nearly tripled under the Obama administration.

Let's talk immigration.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency deported more than 400,000 people this past fiscal year. This was nearly 10 percent more than the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than in 2007.

In addition, company audits, in which Immigration officials go after employers hiring and employing illegals has nearly quadrupled since Bush's last year in office.

Here's a source for you.

Deportation of illegal immigrants increases under Obama administration

I could keep going but would like to give you a chance to provide something to support your assertion that Obama is weak besides the opinion of partisan talking heads.

Show me the birth certificate!

?According to survey data from the Pew Global Attitudes Project released in June 2010, the United States had a 30 percent approval rating in Egypt in 2006, which at the time was higher than U.S. approval in Spain. This dropped to 22 percent by the end of the Bush years. The burst of enthusiasm that attended Mr. Obama?s outreach effort boosted favorability slightly to 27 percent, but in 2010 disappointment set in and approval dropped 10 points to 17 percent, tying Egypt with Turkey and Pakistan for the most negative view of the United States of any country in the world. ?
EDITORIAL: The Egyptians hate us - Washington Times

Obama?s great speech in Cairo extending an olive branch was viewed as pathetic. Now they hate us more under Obama than under Bush, more than any other Country in the Middle East. His great speech didn?t even boost his numbers above Bush?s in 2006.

Can you name any foreign policy success he has had?

The surrender to Moscow on the Poland missile defense in exchange for nothing. Actually Poland our ally is upset with us for abandoning them.

Failure to stand up to Iran?s nuclear ambitions. Diplomacy isn?t working.

Siding with ousted Marxists in Honduras

Siding against Great Britain (our ally) over the Falklands

The Obama administration?s high risk strategy of appeasing America?s enemies while kicking traditional US allies has only succeeded in weakening the United States while strengthening her adversaries.

Gulf Oil Spill
As bad as Katrina was a poll of Louisiana voters gave George W. Bush higher marks for his handling of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, with 62 percent disapproving of Obama?s performance on the Gulf oil spill. I bet most on this board weren?t aware of this seeing how the MSM just bashed the hell out of Bush for months on end.

?Nearly six in 10 voters say they lack faith in the president to make the right decisions for the country, and a clear majority once again disapproves of how he is dealing with the economy. ?

Providing Miranda rights to a terrorist. That?s gotta put the fear of justice into the minds of terrorists.

Jobs was his top priority two years ago. Amazingly jobs are his top priority again now two years later after ridiculous amounts of add?l national debt.

So much time and effort spent on a flawed healthcare bill that was obviously unconstitutional from the get go and jammed down our throats against the will of the majority.

Honestly there?s a whole slew of examples but what stands out to me was his speech to the UN last September where he basically stomped on our history/accomplishments as a Nation.

He's just like Carter, his intentions are good but just doesn't understand how the real world works.

So why not contribute some for a change?

So what you are saying is that you believe the man is weak but don't really have anything of substance to support why.

This has been great. (sarc)

There seems to be a whole lot of this going on around here!

I'm not a miracle worker and don't pretend to be Jesus ;-). I can't make a blind man see.

In many cases all it requires to make a "blind" man see is for him to either remove the blindfold or simply open their eyes.

Though getting some to do that would be "miraculous". ;-)
