If you want an idea for one to make yourself here is an idea that one of my sister's just made. Cut a lime into fourths and muddle it in the bottom of a glass. Put a squirt of agave nectar (about 1-2 T) in the glass. Add about a shot and a half of Absolute Tea Vodka and then finish with club soda and ice. I would say the glass she used was about 8-10 oz. I only had a few sips because I am a wine person but it was really refreshing and delicious.
I've gone back to the classic. We call it Moscow Mule. Ginger Beer, Lime, vodka. YUM
I know Fish Out of Water put it on their drink menu under another name at one point.
1 (6-ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, undiluted
Mint sprigs (optional)
Lime slices (optional)
Preparation
Cut up & freeze watermelon for 2 hrs. or until completely frozen. Combine frozen watermelon, sparkling water, rum, mint, and limeade in a blender; process until smooth. Garnish with mint sprigs and lime slices, if desired. Serve immediately. (I like to squeeze EXTRA lime into the drink!)
Also, if you just slice up watermelon & squeeze lime juice over the cubes & put it in the freezer for a 1/2-1 hour, the kids (& adults) will LOVE this non-alcoholic treat!! It's my new favorite summer time dessert! Have fun on your stay! We go down on the 23rd & I cannot wait!!
1. Fruit Punch Gatorade and Rum. Tastes just like a Pat O'Brien's Hurricane.
2. Dune-Ahh's Lavendar Martini. Tastes just like... nothing you've ever had before
