Anyone have a temper-pedic mattress?

There was a thing on the news this morning that said 10% of the weight of a 10 year old mattress is composed of dust mites, dander, and skin cells, etc....

I saw the leader for that and then did some channel surfing and didn't make it back. Sounds like a good thing I didn't!

I did not see the story, but I bet 10 yr old pillows are closer to having 80% of the weight being Dust Mites.

Ok now we are totally freaked out as to which way to go on the mattress thing! But on a good note.....we now feel better about getting a new mattress every 7-9 years and not so crazy for doing that!! Yikes this mite thing is making my skin itch just thinking about it!!! Will definitely be doing some more research based on the eye-openers on this thread....THANKS!

There are two types of Dust Mites, and many people are allergic to at least one type. However, if you are not allergic to the mites, I am not aware of any problems which they may cause.
