Just heard that 6 fire engines, 2 ambulances, and 2 sheriffs vehicles just pulling into Watersound. Witness reported visible billowing smoke!!

Hope everyone is safe. Yikes!!

Black smoke for what seemed like 10-15 minutes. Cant be anything left. Heard 6 sirens come by One Seagrove.

We live two doors down. It is only one home, on Coopersmith, that backs up to to Deer Lake Park. Fire department is watering down the homes on either side.

So glad everyone is safe. Thank you Firefighters and emergency responders!

Walton County Fire District reported this an hour ago on their facebook page:
Working fire dispatch, 109 Coopersmith Lane, Watersound. SWFD Engine 1 and Truck 2 arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the third story portion of the home. All occupants are safe and accounted for and the fire has been knocked down. SWFD is still on scene conducting loss control activities and our fire marshal along with the state fire marshal are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
