[Mermaid]

This is so much fun playing with avatars! I like that holiday mermaid, Peapod. I have to tell you this funny story about mermaids. In our condo, I have a mermaid plaque that says "mermaid cove." I also have a handmade glass mermaid that's in the kitchen, and a vintage Italian mermaid poster near the dining room table. They're all different and (to me ;-) ) interesting. So when I found a mermaid shelf at Lily Pads, I bought it to keep all the other mermaids happy. I thought I was so smart to have a recognizable decorator theme going in the condo! That is, until I told my teenage daughter, who promptly said "Stop it Mama with all this mermaid stuff! You're going to scare people away. They'll start thinking you're like those crazy old ladies that have a million cats around..."

OUCH OUCH OUCH! Out of the mouth of babes! No more mermaids in the condo!

It's nice to have a non-threatening atmosphere in which to learn this stuff.

I don't think I have any mermaids, other than a drawing I made as a child that my mom saved for me.

The only thing I really "collect" is vintage postcards. Maybe I can find a mermaid one.
