Walton County Board of County Commissioners meeting 9 a.m. on June 20 at the Walton County Courthouse, DeFuniak Springs. Among items on the agenda are: a request by DeFuniak Springs Mayor Bob Campbell for $33,000 annual support to the city for Florida Main Street Program; request for direction on applications received for county attorney position; direction on possibility of off-duty deputies at Morrison Springs; update on upcoming projects on CR-30A; request for direction regarding bids received for beachfront parcel at Blue Mountain beach; and citizen request for redesign of the CR-395/CR-30A intersection project to include moving the sidewalk to the south side of CR-30A. Among Walton County Tourist Development Council (TDC) items are: conceptual design for new regional beach access in Dune Allen; and request for approval to engage design/engineering services for right-of-way parking in front of the new Dune Allen regional beach access, extending to the existing Fort Panic Regional Beach Access. Quasi-judicial proposals include the St. Clair Road Abandonment, Meyer's Park, the Seascape Development of Regional Impact (DRI) Amendment, final plat for Pathways at WaterSound Phase 1, and requests to continue Cassine Station, Azzurro Condominium, and Lot 16 South Walton Commerce Park. (From the Herald)

The County Commission needs to just say NO to the $33 thousand dollars for the City DFS Main Street Project! If Campbell wants money for Main Street perhaps he should have thought about that when he ignored letters from the State which resulted in a $221 thousand dollars loss to the City!!

If the County has $33,000 to throw away they should throw it at North Walton County Fire Rescue!!

Hey Mayor Bob Campbell, keep your hands out of the County Tax Dollars. You need to learn how to manage your own cities funds and how to open mail and communicate with staff.

$221,000.00 loss...Nice Bob :moon::poop:

Here is another hitch in Mr. Campbell's giddy-up. He does not have board approval from the City Council to even pursue this.
