Heading down tomorrow....What's the water and /or beaches looking like?

Thanka very much..

beaches are looking very nice, with some sandbars formed perpendicular to the beach --typical this time of year after the heavy storms in the Gulf. Water was smooth but cloudy yesterday, and today, choppy from the wind, but clearing somewhat. I hear there is a hurricane in the Gulf, but have no idea where it is or how large it is, and whether or not it will stir things up here in the next couple of days.

Single red flag flying today.

No hurricane in the Gulf. Omar is in the Caribbean but is moving northeast, away from the windward islands and out to the far, far Atlantic. No threat to us.
Front coming through Friday, wind will shift to the west then to northwest. May kick up some waves as usual.
Water is cloudy but really nice, no jellyfish. Still warm enough to swim, I was in today.

awesome..I was rally looking forward to getting in a few last swims this year.

Wow, I'd love to get back into the water. I may be back in a week or so. I probably only have a couple days left here In Dallas and then it's off to see my kiddies. But dreams of that beach or on my mind, along with the dune lakes and walking trails. And while the water may be on its way to being uncomfortablly cold upcoming, the air temps for walking in the state forest will be lovely.

Count me in!
