I have just been looking through the new issue of Dallas Modern Luxury and what do I see on the 2nd page?? A two page ad for the Beaches of SoWal. It is fantastic! A white, sandy beach with a child on her dad's shoulders walking into the surf. Oh! How I can't wait to be there! Then, to my surprise, at the bottom of the ad, is says....drum roll, please...

I WISH Dallas had a beach! It's 101 right now with 150 degree humidity. I could use the beach at this moment.

Hi inside635. Just had a nice visit to Dallas. Went to Six Flags on the only recent 90ish degree day. Lake Lewisville has a nice little "beach." Came home taking 121 to 380 to 69 to 20. That worked out pretty good as Dallas Tollway was shutdown that day with wreck. Pretty drive, too. Just get in your car now and drive on down!! I usually just stop 3 or 4 times for gas and a break. Be sure to have your friends check in to SoWal to get the real story about South Walton and our beaches. Why our TDC would still be hanging out with that "The Beaches" thing is beyond me. It won't bring additional tourists here. The great venues and attractions are already in place. Need to just play to our strengths. No extra marketing or hangers on are needed.
