Beatles or Stones?

Beatles...Paul is just so dreamy!!!

You hit the nail on the head. It was those dreamy puppy dog eyes.

It's no contest - it's the Beatles for me and everyone else in this house agrees.
I will take a chance here, since no one knows me but I think the Stones have always been the most overrated band EVER. I never thought they were talented, never thought they could sing, never anything! When they come on the radio, I can't hit that button fast enough. The only good thing to come from them was Marianne Faithful.

you know, that's exactly what I've always thought about Janis Joplin! An overrated raspy-voiced screecher. Minority opinion though.

I was a Beatlemaniac. I bought everything I could find with their photos on it, and 12 of us screaming kids had fifth-row seats when they came to ATL. My best friend and I were called "The Beatle Twins" - we started wearing British-influenced clothing and were obsessed with the Beatles. There's a photo of us in a yearbook with the caption, "The Beatles Are Coming!" Remember that? I knew every word of every song on every album. Paul was my favorite. To this day, I commemorate John's death.

When the Beatles broke up, I had no favorites. However, when the Stones came to ATL for their "last" concert in the 80's, my husband and I went and continue to go to their "last" concerts. Now I have every Stones album - I loves me my Mick. Hearing the Beatles now makes me sad for reasons none of you care to hear.

The Beatles will always be my favorites since I feel like I grew up with them. I like the Stones too, in a bad boy way, but they will never top the Beatles.

BR--how did you ever get 5th row tickets to the Beatles!?? I'm impressed.
You had to be pretty young back when they toured. I was too young to go to a concert back then, and most parents were horrified by them at first, but I would love to have seen them.

Count me in the minority too. I kind of liked "Me and Bobby McGee" but the rest of her screeching must have needed chemical enhancement to appreciate.

I understand what you're saying and certainly understand what you mean. There are & always will be hardcore Stones fans. You at least recognize the Beatles' talent.
