Best Changes in Past Year?

I'm coming soon (hurray!) for my annual stay on 30A, and was wondering what positive changes have happened in the area since this time last year. So, my question for everyone: Are there any new restaurants, nature trails, sports leagues, rare animal sightings, changes to the beach or lakes, or anything else that has given you joy and that you'd like to share here? We always stay on the eastern end of 30A, between Alys Beach and Watersound, but love the whole area.

(I did read the thread about Deer Lake State Park's potential closing, and was dismayed by that possibilitiy. I'm hoping to conterbalance that with some good news).

Not too much is happening right now which is a nice change of pace. George's at Alys Beach is now open and wonderful. Other than that not too much new.

If you haven't tried them yet, Stinky's, Taste of OZ, Fire, Amavida, and Hurricane Oyster Bar need to be on your list!

There is also a juice bar airstream at Seaside now - reduced seasonal hours now, but you can blend your own smoothie w/ a bicycle blender!
