Oh yes and it HAS to be a Chi

Absolutely! ;-)

Yes, this is an old thread, but still timely. Best gift.... my oldest, precious daughter was born on Dec. 22 and came home from the hospital on Christmas Day in a red stocking. She still uses it 26 years later.

On a more recent note, my youngest child despised reading after being subjected to accelerated reader. This was a child who would spend $30-$40 at a time on books, so when she started to dislike reading I was heartbroken. However, she returned from her first semester at college and told me she was going to the library to check out books to read. I wanted to ask her if she had been smoking crack! And later she said," I have great book for you to read if you have time." I wanted to shout from the rooftop, I was soooooo excited. That is the second best gift I have recieved! Merry Christmas to all as Christmas miracles are alive and present!@

iwiwt...those are the real gifts in life!

One Chi ceramic flat iron now under bed, ready to be wrapped! Thank god for overstock.com. I came in just under $100 and it was exactly the model that Fyl wanted. (You're not saying that oh yes and it HAS to be a Chi!) She will be one very happy little teenager Christmas morning.

Oh, that would make me a very happy <gulp> 40-year-old on Christmas morning!
(I'm trying to get used to it, I really am.)

Peapod, do you have wavy hair then? I do and I love it. So does Fyl but she doesn't love it. I expect she'll be as old as me before she gets used to what God gave her. :bang:

Please give out some other stocking stuffer ideas!!! (We olny got apples and tangerines in ours!)

Love the dollar bill with the Miss Kitty on it! Hilarious!

my mom always puts $10 worth of scratch off lottery tickets in everybody's stocking. we enjoy that immensely although no one ever wins anything but my pop.

Actually, I have very curly hair; I now depend on my flatiron. Wore it naturally curly and super short for years and years, the iron has let me have a little variety after looking the same for a loooong time!

i had to share this with you sentimental folks. my mom called me and said my pop came to work and took her to lunch today, (he's been on vacation since the 2nd week of dec. and they work at the same place), and he was all dressed up with khaki pants and a nice sweater. mom said he even had his fly zipped (he tends to forget that !) they had a nice lunch at the new mexican restaurant, then he took her to the jewelry store and told her she could pick out anything she wanted for christmas/anniversary (their 45th anniv. is next year). unlike me, mom is very conservative when it comes to jewelry, so she said she got a nice 4 diamond ring for her right hand. she is as excited as a school girl with a crush. didn't know pop was so romantic

audie, that is so nice! And what a smart man your father is, letting your mother pick what she wanted.
