Beach Comber
We're heading down to Seaside on Saturday. What's the best route from Atlanta? I did a few searches and there are several "best" ways out there. It always seems to take forever with two little ones in the back seat! Thanks for any advice you can give.

Here is a Post from the archives:
We have tried everyone's shortcuts, etc.. The best route for us into Seagrove (not Rosemary or PC) is 85, 185, 80, 431, 165 , 431 again, I-10, 331, 98, 395.
321 miles from our house in Midtown.

Since that time we have completely stopped using 331 and now take highway 79 off of I-10 down towards Panama City. This brings you in on the East side of 30A. We like this much better. Also, from that old post highway 431 may be complete now (have not tried it as I am still using highway 165 as a short cut). Appox 5 miles difference.

I haven't tried the highway 79 route, but other than that I completely concur. Drove it last night, in fact.

if you're going to the east side of 30-a, take 79...it you're going to the west, take 331...either one if you're going to seagrove
