Beach Fanatic
Today beach setups cover 123' of beach frontage. Public width is 81' so they took whole beach plus 40+/-feet in from of two homes.
That's what the fight is about. People now sitting up in front of them #letthefightsbegin #meerkat

Are you allowed to set up your stuff in front of the beach vendors? It seems the last time I was down there the beach vendors told me I could not. Which is correct?

First. Beach Vendors have NO authority Nada. You can sit any where. If a vendor threatened you call beach enforcement
Ask for Jeff. PM me for his number.

Thanks for the beach report Steel1. Where's the pix?

The thing is most of our visitors don't know that the vendors don't have any authority so they won't say or do anything. They will, however, find other places to vacation. The chair people are out of control and it will only get worse if the people WITH authority do nothing about them.

I, in fact, do know that the vendors have no authority. Had a run in with them a few years ago in Grayton Beach and after spending every spring, summer and fall vacationing there for the last 30 years, I have moved on.
