i'm with you guys - i'm sure her dad wants to jump in and shake some sense into her, but what can you do at her age ? of course, that wouldn't stop my mom - thank god she made me see the light the first time i was engaged. what was i thinking ? everyone but me could see he was a loser.

Gypsea, I totally agree with you. I think I worded things badly--when I said "poor guy," I truly meant that. I feel terrible for him that, in spite of all his best efforts, he sees her choices and probably doubts himself as a parent.

I agree with you pea. Certainly he wonders what he could have done to save
her from this outcome. It is tough to see all your hard work go down the drain!
