Ever been to one of their concerts? Our 15 y.o. needs more concert credits for music. It's suggested to attend various types of musical performances. It's a cheap concert and close to home. (I wish I could've gotten credit for going to concerts when I was in highschool!)

He/they are very good for zydeco. I can take Zydeco for a little while, maybe 15-20 minutes, then it starts to get a bit repetitive for me. But, it's important american roots music that blends from lots of other cultures, so it's perfect for music ed.

I'll be there too. This will be held in a local, small jr. college auditorium. He'll be safe from the pot, at least so far.

We have seen Buckwheat Zydeco a couple of times and we loved their music, but then we love zydeco. It's really fun to watch the people dancing to this kind of music, a real art and talent. Hope to learn how someday.

By all means go to the concert and have fun!

Never heard of this group..I like Zydeco..have you ever listened to the "Big Easy" sound track??...Great music, Dennis even sings one of the songs himself...VERRRY sexy!

If I'm correct Buckwheat Z. was one of the 1st zydeco bands to go commercial and "make it" so to speak about 20 yrs. ago. We'll love it and usually like most kinds of music. Unfortunately, Johnrudy jr. will have to be taking notes on the music style, etc., but he'll still love it!

I liked The Big Easy too!
