Where in BMB and time of day? A big 'ol chocolate Lab named Yogi walks me every morning along BMB near 83 access...and he doesn't want his daddy nibbled on the toes by that kinda fish!
this shark was caught on the 9th of may at about 8am, with a surf rod at the east end of blue mtn by the lake drain. It took about 45 minutes to land, the toughest fish fight I have witnessed on this beach. You just had to respect this shark even though its the bad boy of our waters. It was released. I didn't catch it but took the picture. The fisherman was a tourist. He was kind enough to send the picture. I blocked his face, its about the fish!
I watched a guy who had what we believe was a shark a few weeks back at Ed Walline Park. He had 90 pound line on and a steel leader and that fish was trashing that poor guy standing on the beach trying to haul it in. After about 20 minutes of swimming toward shore and then making screaming line dragging runs, finally bit through the leader. He had caught it right near dusk. It was a rush to watch the battle.
