I still have my ornament. We need a soiree STAT! I still remember my first one. Went to the Red Bar for breakfast and from the other side of the room I hear Teresa yell, "Is that a Singinchicken?"

My wife looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head!

AND, I've got the tat to prove it!
Never once regretted it....even when I sobered up.
Soirees on the beach. Beachbummett, Smiling Joe and Kitty themes. Kitty rolling in the sand.
ME feeling like I was meeting CELEBRITIES at the soirees .

I still have all my ornaments.

The Walton County Fair with the Dargs, the Merms, our precious Alicia, Kitty.
The FUNNS.
ME always trying to catch Smiling Joe in number of posts. (I never made it).
Kurt having to constantly police us and deleting many a post that went over the line. Moderators.

I have to go now, but I'll be back with more memories and I'll smile all day thinking about the most funn times ever!!

GREAT memories!! Yes....I felt like I met true celebrities every time I met a SoWaller!! I loved being a part of such a great community...so much so that I moved there. 5 wonderful years in the best place in the world! It is impossible to explain to others just how magical it was, the SoWal Vortex The otter flies at midnight!! The funn, the entertainment, the ups, the downs, the wenches, the ornament exchanges, the SDC parties, the soirees and the love. I remember when Miss Kitty was Sueshore!! I loved all the shortening of our names. DD, KDW, GoTo, COS, ALF, Toots, SWGB, Smilin J, Mermy, spudslut to name a few. I remember meeting lots of sowller at Amores. Meeting lots of Sowallers at the Wash-A-Way!! So many amazing memories...too many to even count.

We had our own movie and selected the stars who would be playing us in said movie. we had a movie poster made up.

We had our own lingo and we talked about putting together a guide for our language. Funn, puck, otter flies at midnight, etc.

NO ornament exchanges! As much as I loved them, I spent weeks of precious holiday time doing nothing but planning and shopping and creating crap, then packaging them up and shopping for more fun crap to add to the box, etc. I still have all my ornaments sent to me.

Those of you who remember "the amazing days" of the SoWal lounge...come on in and have a seat!! Lets have funn remembering old threads, old tars, old trolls and old friends.
I remember the days when we were all ax murderers I was here before we had the funn emojis. We had unbridled sarcasm lots of crazy political discussions where people were banned Daddy-o had his hands full. This site was the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did before bed...usually I was PUI at this point . I have amazing memories created right here in this lounge! I made lifelong friends and enjoyed meeting every single ax murderer. We had smoking, drinking and cussing parties, crazy funn threads, ornament exchanges, lively conversations, love for each other and lots of support. This site saved me in so many ways after my divorce.
Please let other old farts know about our reunion!! I look forward to "seeing" all the old farts here soon!!

Cork lives in Tarpon Springs...got married. She lives near me but I never see her :-(
