Camera Shy Commissioner

I just heard that video depositions were scheduled this morning with Commissioner Pridgen in regards to the public records lawsuit the county is involved in.

Everyone showed up, plantif,plantif's attorney, defendent, defendents attorney and the videographer.

At the appointed hour Commissioner Pridgen through his attorney announced that they would not submit to a video deposition, but would submit to an oral deposition. What ? Never seen him avoid being on TV before.

When did our Dist. 2 Commissioner become so camera shy that he would invite the plantiff to seek intervention by the presiding judge.

What a hoot ! The cash register over at B&B just keeps ringing. Guess his performance during his nationally televised interview on "Lifeguards on the Beach" was still in his mind.

If you ask me I would say that Commissioner Pridgen is afraid, that since he is up for re-election next year: He would be highly embarassed to have his deposition shown on say, Youtube.com for everyone to see how incompetent he is.

Based on how politricks has been going lately, I assume the decision was made so parts of the videotaped deposition wouldn't find their way into campaign ads or cleverly edited internet clips.

All you would need to do is go to the Walton Dem site and you can find him in action every two weeks. Plenty of material there if that was what was being sought.

All I gotta say is to be 70ish in age you are really great with avatar graphics. They look very similar to some from WileECoyote, etc. I especially like the new one with the ribbon.

Commissioners Should Practice Their Smiles !

In an emergency hearing held this morning before the presiding Judge in the Public Records lawsuit working its way through the court system several interesting pleas were made by the County's attorney.

1. The County did not object to county employee's giving video depositions in the case.

2. The County objected to video depositions for County Commissioner's because they had to run for re-election and they did not want to be embarassed by postings that might appear on Sowal.com and YouTube.



The judge ruled in favor of the plantiff and ordered that the video depositions be held as noticed to those individuals !

Sowal has truly arrived ! Congratulations Kurt ! It is now being used as a defense motion to keep the general public from having access to their elected officials actions that might be embarassing to them in a future election.



Depositions begin tomorrow morning !
