Can You Freeze Raw Milk?

My mom freezes milk from the grocery store. I don't see why you couldn't. google is your friend.

Growing up on a dairy farm we never had to freeze the raw milk since everyday brought more... but you can do it. Personally I think it gets a little weird on the thaw (think old fashioned melted homemade ice cream) because the "structure" changes from the ice crystal formation.
You might find it OK for cooking/recipe ingredient purposes but probably not for straight drinking.
Try test freezing it 3 different ways and in the future you'll know what works for your tastes. (ice cube tray works).
1) Skim a bit of the thick cream off the top to freeze separately.
2) Freeze some of the thin skim milk separately.
3) Mix cream & milk together very well (well blended as if homogenized).
This way you'll know how YOU best end up liking what
occurs to the various fat content ratios in freezing.

Thanks Y'all! DuneAhhhhh, I've frozen homogenized milk before and did not like it on the thaw. This milk is delicious and the cream is amazing - going to make a little butter later, so will use a lot of it for that.
I use about a quart of 1/2 & 1/2 per week and this milk will last in a very cold fridge for almost three weeks, so some will go to waste. I'll share it before it will go to waste, however.
This farmer is only about 30 min. from my house so if I miss him on a Sat., can easily make it to the farm during the week.....only issue is he uses plastic! I transferred into Mason jars and Grolsch bottles. Am taking his jug back to him and will suggest glass jugs, but I presume it's a weight issue more than anything.

You can freeze breast milk and it is raw. So yes, you can freeze raw milk.

Well... I don't personally like milk, raw or otherwise,
(too many deepseated emotional issss-ughs
)but I agree that raw cream is AMAZING.
It would be interesting to inquire of the farmer if converting the operation to glass containers carries a whole additional set of costly govt. sanitation regulations... that in turn adds another 1-2 labor steps... that in turn ups the price to the customer, perhaps pricing out of the realm of reality.
My folks no longer run their dairy (and never sold direct anyway), but they recently mentioned a nearby dairy that was unable to sustain their startup direct market business due to all the regulatory costs (and required equipment) that proved too weighty for a small family dairy business to absorb.
