It's 11 p.m., and I'm getting sleepy, I'm in my jammies, bed time is a go after two really busy days at work and little sleep. The lights are out, I pull the covers up and "POP, BANG"
I think a car has back-fired, turning in front of my house. I roll over, the dogs start growling and acting really hinkey. I get up, go into the living room to the front door and look outside:

Holy Batman! There is a car wreck in my front yard. The white car in the upper right of the photo's brakes went out approaching the intersection that dead ends in front of my house. The silver Dodge truck got hit in the passenger side door. The passenger had a hand injure according to an officer, but they didn't say it was serious. Both drivers were fine and I am wide awake. The power pole on the trucks driver side stopped them from going further. A few minutes later and they would have come through my picket fence.

The news will not let me sleep. It followed me home. Once again, I am wide awake.....

Glad they did not go any further, sounds like my neighborhood.

OMG what an ordeal! I can imagine it would take a while to get back into snooze mode again after that!

Glad nothing more happened. Hopefully tonite will be calm....

I think you need some big rocks!~

Did their brakes go out, or did they just not use them?

He told the PD they went out. It didn't sound like you would think a crash sounds. No brakes squealing or anything. Just a metallic pop. I was behind a few people in the 911 call, because I didn't get up right away. I didn't think it was a wreck.
