WHERE: Cessna Park, along Hogtown Bayou
on Highway 393 North (Walton County)
WHAT: Phase 2 of a shoreline restoration project coordinated by the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) of Okaloosa-Walton College. Volunteers and CBA staff will: prepare the planting area; move plants into position; plant cordgrass and needlerush along the water?s edge; and clean up afterwards (tools, garbage, etc.). Volunteers should anticipate wading in knee-deep water and should bring waders/water shoes, sunscreen, drinking water, bug spray, and work gloves.
WHEN: Saturday, June 2nd, beginning at 9am
