Chicken-fried Politics

New posts
Imagine going back 50 years and having to explain the concept of faith-based racist homophobe chicken people.

I am in the franchise business and do not understand the fascination with Chik Fil A. It is like In and Out Burger, dont get it, not a great product, good service...Maybe I am underestimating the Baptist population:) They're well intentioned people and very charitable and treat their employees well, but they do not budge on Southern Baptist beliefs.

My understanding is they don't franchise anymore and the "owners" are "managing partners", in other words you work like a slave and have no asset to sell at the end of your term.

I agree with you on the question of loyalty to the place. I view Chipotle food the same way, what's the big effing deal about it?
not a Chipotle fan either, extra charge for a cold bag of tortilla chips. I do Mexican mostly for the chips and salsa... Moe's a chain at least in Alabama (carbon copy of chipotle )
Better..but full disclosure made a bundle off Chipolte stocks.:))

Moe's tried and failed twice at Grand Boulevard.

I like Which Wich, kind of like Quizno's, but without the weird dip your meat in a hot water bath thing. It's in Alabama and moving south.

Not too bad. A friend of mine started which wich in Dallas about 10 years ago. Kind of pricey but not a bad sandwich.

I didn't find it anymore pricey than a Moe's or equivalent. Since I avoid Subway like the plague I don't really mind paying more than $5/foot.

Gotta say that Publix beats most of the sub chains when it comes to a nice deli sandwich.

I tend to regard Chipotle as a safe, if a bit bland pick if neither Urbanspoon nor Yelp turn up anything interesting when I'm on the road, but really prefer Tijuana Flats for my chain counter service Mexican.

I have to admit I don't understand anything you you said. I have lived in south Walton a long time. I understand there is a need for fast food franchises almost everywhere . There is need, in this vicinity, to not be like every other place... Yes?

Totally agree on the Publix for a sub bit. They meat they use is so much better. Beach Runner, you might find the linked article interesting. I know I did. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/shane-l-windmeyer/dan-cathy-chick-fil-a_b_2564379.html
Very enlightening article, just Goes to Prove that all posters ( myself included) should investigate info before just reacting to all the "For Commercial Money Only " news outlets.....thanks m1a1mg.......rarely is the REAL news posted as a headline...#truthdoesnotsell
