Coast Food + Wine is closed

[Coast Food + Wine]

It is with a heavy heart to announce that we have decided to close COAST. We're so thankful for the overwhelming support from the local community, the new faces we have met and the stories that were told. We're equally thankful for the wonderful staff who served you day in and day out.
Thank you again.

Sincerely,
James, Miriam and Chris

Another good restaurant fails because of location, location, location.

Couldn't agree with Steel1Man more... Honestly ever since moving here we have found the majority of restaurants to be a disappointing combination of quality to value given it's a tourist area so the need for a consistent quality is not necessary to be profitable. Coast Food + Wine was a notable exception and one of our absolute favorites for consistent quality and delicious food. The shrimp on their linguine dish ALWAYS tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly... I can't say the same for many of the 4-star places and press praised restaurants 'round here. And the kale salad was :up: too. The location kept us from eating in, but we got food to-go almost weekly and were pleasantly surprised they automatically extended the local special to take out orders too. Sad to see them go, but I hope they will try again in a much better location!

Keep the faith Chef Chris. We will keep our eyes open and hopes up for the future!
