Coleman 6250 watt generator

New posts
Is it on wheels or does it just sit there?

Any more info?

Any idea on running time on one tank of gas?

This is not a currently produced model, according to the Coleman website, so I don't have the exact numbers. The two closest sized models they currently offer, 6000W & 6500W, both stated run times in the 10 hour range @ "50% load". I would assume this unit would give similar results, "50% load" is the typical measuring point in the industry. You should be able to safely power up to 6 circuits in your home (not at full load, but residential circuits typically aren't maxed out if the original electrician knew what he was doing).

Remember if you want to connect this unit to your homes wiring you need to use a transfer switch. Otherwise you could harm yourself/family or the utility company employees that may be working nearby.

Ash,
It works. The only reason we tried it when we took it out of the box is because I have a 18 year old son who couldn't wait.....
