We have guns and dentists, so we have more gun violence and better teeth by default. Adjust the number of guns in the possesion of the citizenry versus gun violence and I'll bet you an order of fish and chips that we are a pretty non-violent country. As you say, we are going bananas buying guns, but the rate of gun violence is decreasing.

Well we've already mentioned relative lack of violence in Japan, but one poster said we bombed the crap out of Japan so we could be nothing like them. We just want to learn their manufacturing techniques and build their cars in this country at slave labor rates.
