Congratulations to Alys Beach Town Architects, Marieanne Khoury-Vogt & Erik Vogt for Winning Two Prestigious Design Awards > Alys Beach Offers Luxury Beach Living From A New Urbanist Perspective > Alys Beach Today -- The Official Alys Beach Blog
"Jury thrilled to give an award to a project not conventionally classical, but that leans on traditional principles as a guiding vision for its design"
Marieanne Khoury-Vogt & Erik Vogt have been rewarded with the Shutze Award for the design of Caliza by the Institute of Classical Architecture.

The awards are named for Philip Trammell Shutze, the Atlanta architect whose work is revered internationally as one of the twentieth century’s most devoted Classicists. The award recognizes similar individuals who are contributing to the creation of twenty-first century classical and traditional architecture.

Marieanne and Erik will receive their award at a formal ceremony on Saturday evening, February 20, at the Atlanta History Center. For more information, please click on the link below.

And, for the third time, the design team has also won a Palladio Award for their work at Alys Beach. This year, the award is in the category of Public Spaces: Parks, Plazas, Gardens, Streetscapes, and recognizes the pedestrian path (Seagarden Walk) from 30A all the way to Lake Marilyn and Somerset Bridge.

The Palladio Awards Program is designed to honor outstanding achievement in traditional design. The Program recognizes individual designers and/or design teams whose work enhances the beauty and humane qualities of the built environment through creative interpretation or adaptation of design principles developed through 2,500 years of the Western architectural tradition.
Marieanne and Erik will be highlighted in the June issue of Traditional Building, and the formal presentation of their award will be at the Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference in Chicago, October 21-23.
