“When you have 20,000-plus infections per day, how can you talk about a second wave?” said Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health. “We’re in the first wave. Let’s get out of the first wave before you have a second wave.”
Yep. We should be prepared for a continuous wave.

When you say "we", I can't help but wonder whom you are talking about. Our state government has handed the situation over to the counties, and I see absolutely no effort by our county government to encourage any of the precautions necessary to try to stem the spread of the virus. You don't have to mandate masks, but surely you could be pro-active about encouraging people to act responsibly. We have more visitors than I have ever seen before, and the lack of leadership is also at an all time high.

Florida reported 4,049 new cases on Saturday, breaking Friday’s record (3,822) and Thursday’s record (3,207). The state now has had 93,797 cases and 3,144 deaths.

Wearing a mask is a mo brainer and the least we can do for each other. If people are too dumb or too selfish not to do it then local government can and should require it (since state and federal have proven they don't care about us the people). Businesses at least should band together and require it for entry. Not to require masks is irresponsible to the point of negligence. It's not about what an individual wants, it's about what is good for all of us. When did we stop caring about what is good for ALL of us?

We could use a Mayor and city council right about now.
No one is in charge at all. NO ONE.

You think it would matter? The average knucklehead around here can't even comprehend a beach flag system designed for a second grade reading level. If people are too dense to understand that rough surf and rip currents are a threat to their life, good luck selling the idea that an invisible virus should get in the way of their God given Constitutional rights. :bang:

We have zero leadership on the national, state, and local level.

Two hair stylists with the coronavirus wore masks. So did their 140 clients. Of those tested, none got sick

I want my shrimp basket in a crowded restaurant with loud conversation. Anything less than that is Communism.
