Yes, endanger more hospital workers. It’s a shame there was no warning or method to mitigate the rising infections.
Who could have known?

When it became obvious that we are entering a new, terrible phase of this pandemic, I simply went back to wearing a mask whenever I went into a store or any indoor group of people. I just did it, without any fuss at all. I must admit, I am a little bit more absent-minded these days. Today, I am thinking about my five grand kids, who are all starting back to school in five different schools, in Arkansas and Florida, and my daughter-in-law, who is a school teacher, and who is also an anti-vaxxer, and I am so goddamn worried that these people I love so much will be bullied by shameless politicians into not wearing a mask, and not taking the vaccination, when it becomes available to them. My oldest grandson is eligible for the vaccine, and wants to take the vaccine, and his mother won't let him... The only thing these children have to protect them is wearing a mask. The only thing. Not their mother. Not their governor. And in my absentmindedness, a couple of times, I got halfway into Lowe's and halfway into Tom Thumb, and I realized I had forgotten my mask. So I turned around, and went back, and grabbed my mask. It was just a simple little piece of cloth. It wasn't a political statement. It wasn’t a ballot. It was just a simple little piece of cloth, and I slipped it on my face for the twenty minutes I would be around a crowd of people. It was just such a simple piece of cloth, I felt like crying, because of the madness that has consumed us...

I feel your pain. All we can do is tell em, show em and most of all love em...

The first set of bullet points is very much needed info. Says that across the three counties here in our area that 94% of the hospitalized are unvaccinated. I’ve been wanting to see that info somewhere that I felt I could trust.

This data jives with what I have read from all around the US. Delta is bad for all of us, but it is especially bad for the unvaccinated.

This whole discussion is breathtaking.
