I am retired. He is no longer my Commander-In-Chief. If I were on active duty we would not be having this discussion because it would be beyond reasonable purview to critize the President publicly. As far as the will of the American people is concerned, Tuesday's election clarified that mistake although it didn't change it. That would only come with impeachment which I neither expect or condone.

m1a1mg is former military as I am and we both agree West is a POS who disgraced himself. I don't understand why you feel he deserves some special privilege just because he once wore a uniform. If you wish to grant him special status do so, but you should not demand others do likewise.

Look at your own post concerning his military court martial and article 15 procedure. He paid for what he did because he thought it was right. Read the last sentence of your post. "Retired with full benefits" And then you have the audacity to quote the daily kos, a recognized left wing site, as a "reliable source". Your own summation from wikipedia just abve that bit negate eveything it said. I am not a defender of what Allen West did. All of us retired military have had our moments of disagreement about one thing or another. You can't have served until retirement and not have had some darker moments, IMO. If you can state otherwise, at times, you might not have been doing your job.

He paid for what he did by quitting, or else he would have been harshly disciplined. In my world, that's known as getting kicked out. West did what he thought was right, same as lots of other bad guys. The Daily kos article doesn't state anything contrary to the facts, so I fail to see your point on that one unless to you the facts aren't what matter. The Kos just happens to turn up the ridicule to a very high volume. In light of West's insane political rhetoric, I think that ridicule is well deserved.
