Delta to eliminate ECP-to-Memphis flights

Revealed in an announcement today about a broader scaling back of service in Memphis.

Dang! Memphis is a lot more livable airport to connect through than Atlanta. It's been really good for me en route to central and western destinations. For now, no similar announcement about VPS, so let's hope those connections remain available to us.

This can't make the ECP airport folks happy, either. Less destinations/inbound sources, and less head count in daily arrivals and departures.

I have a love/hate relationship with connecting through Memphis - it either works perfectly or is a complete disaster that has me cursing Delta and others passengers getting threats from airport security.

But this lack of options is not good. I noticed when booking flights lately that Delta is having major issues with flights being on time and the online booking sites are flagging them for it.
