Carson, there is no "fix" and the people causing the problems are not "babies". This is a cultural problem that has become much worse over the years. Many (not all) college students are immature, spoiled, entitled, sheltered and supported by their parents much more than you and I were. I know we have all heard the phrase from our parents and grandparents, "If I give you an inch you will take a mile" but this generation is taking the mile and every resource with it (very destructive behavior). PCB has reached critical mass and now they have to do something drastic. If you are fortunate enough to live on 30A I would prepare myself for the invasion or become an anti-spring break activist. If you want to protect our resources we should not support "spring break" in the present sense and lack of morality. In my opinion these students should be giving something back for their good fortune instead of this extreme consumption. They should be showing their appreciation by working for income or charity.

I would put up BCSO pop up tents and a tall flag on the beach every half mile so you are in the middle of them and they can see the police presence. It also gives the BCSO more immediate access. This along with sand patrols would curb some of the problems.

Don't think 30A is in their plans. Will probably jump us and move in to Destin, FWB and P'Cola. One reason 30A is pretty much motel free..Oh, I forgot about new Hampton Inn.

Why don't they move all the way out to Gulf Shores, AL? I think that would be a great place for Spring Breakers, and far enough away from 30a to keep everyone happy.

What is/has happened in PCB isn't anything new. There is just allot more cameras/videos everywhere you turn.

I'm just barely out of that age group and I'm praying that this doesn't come to our area! It's one of the reasons I moved over here, I love the atmosphere without a bunch of young drunken madness being spread about......

Anybody remember Freaknik in Atlanta? That's what they are comparing this attraction to at the Palms Convention Center in PCB. Won't these people ever learn. Sheriff has asked for $40,000 to pay overtime for this function.
