More bad juju for Point Washington.....odd that most has been in that half-square-block area.

I was thinking that as well, its almost like from a Stephen King novel. In his novel "It", the town of Derry was a home of an ancient evil. Perhaps something ancient lurks in the woods of Point Washington...a Wendigo or other entity that draws misfortune to it.;-)

The morning after all of thIs came up my daughter said someone hung himself. she had been at a friend's over there and told me when she got home. Where she got the info and how accurate, I do not know.

I also heard hanging. But have heard nothing further since the day the police were in the area.

"We all float down here!"
I loved that book!

It is a rumored suicide. Apparently a male parked his truck on Bay Drive and entered a wooded lot sometime Thursday, where he committed suicide.

Which would explain the pickup truck surrounded by crime tape on the west side of Bay Drive and the cop car and crime tape in the woods on the east side of the road. :(

Very sad indeed. The individual was recently seperated from his wife and the father of 2 (ages 3 & 5...I think). Apparently he was also undergoing some financial difficulties (but who isn't these days). Such a selfish permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Unfortunately, this happens more frequently during difficult economies. Being from a family of farmers, I remember this too well from the late 70's/early 80's.....not in my family, but in the news. Farmers believing they were worth more dead than alive - very tragic. Murray is right; life is very precious.

Sorry to hear that. Life is so precious.

Same thing happened with a very close friend of mine last year. We all live with it, every day. I hate to hear stories like this.

Poor children!

It's so sad when people get to the point of such despair and desperation!:( I just feel so badly, for the children! Because, so often, they end up blaming themselves, when old enough!
