Rosemary Beach, Northwest Florida’s premiere Gulf-front community, is currently accepting candidates for the role of Director of Retail Operations. We are seeking a team-oriented leader, with strong retail experience, prior management skills, who can multi-task and oversee operations of various stores.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and implement training initiatives and development programs for all levels of retail frontline employees to support the realization of business goals of increasing sales, market share, profitability and sustainable growth of the business and organization
- Develop and implement buying strategy including attending tradeshows/viewings to seek out new product lines and opportunities
- Accountable for overall operations, staffing, marketing, and merchandising plans
- Establish a strong customer service/selling culture in all stores within the organization
- Directly support store managers in maximizing company profits through the coordination and on-going evaluation of all in-store merchandizing, operation, and expense control programs
- Preparation of annual budget and review of monthly financials
- Ensuring e-commerce operation (website) is updated and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Exploring new business opportunities and creating a business development program
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school
- Eight (8) years retail management experience
- Four (4) years retail buying experience
- Ability to manage a diverse group of individuals, lead change and inspire work toward the common goal
- Outstanding training and coaching skills
- Demonstrate highly collaborative and influential leadership
- Analytical skills with the ability to think and act strategically
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage various projects
- Attention to detail while maintaining the ability to see the big picture
- Ability to travel to trade shows and markets.
