Disposing of old paint and similar items

I've got a bunch of old, partially used cans of paint. Also some carpet adhesive, spackle, and other similar items. It needs to go away now, and can't wait on the next Hazardous Waste day.

Will the Walton Co. dump accept it? Looking at the county website, it looks like they only want to take household garbage.

If not the dump, then where?

I called the landfill last week asking the same question and they told me to call the landfill in Crestview- Okaloosa has hazardous waste disposal. It is so hard to get rid of this stuff- makes me worry that many people just dump it in the garbage (or the woods, or the bay...)
