Do you get/give flowers for VD?

New posts
Darling DD... in your darkest hour did you think we could so quickly & effectively decimate the flowery, sweet-heartsy aspects of Valentine's Day?

I mean, come on...
Sheila recommends 'ponies' as a nice choice for Kurt to gift Teresa??? :floor:
Teresa, if it were me, I'd have to say "neigh" to 'ponies'.

you're a NUT duneahhhhh:wave:

some people know my favorite flowers around here!

but, I really prefer .... never mind........:leaving:

flowers are nice.:D and a hand made card with a love note. and a nice dinner.

My wife thinks flowers are such a waste so I am off the hook. I always get her a card though. February is a tough month because I have my oldest son's birthday on the 7th, youngest son on the 14th my father on the 20th and wife on the 28th so I go broke on birthday gifts so I don't have to but Valentines gifts.

Flowers are always nice to get IMO - especially if the ones selected show that some actual thought/knowledge of the person's likes and dislikes/personality was involved.

Geesh... now I feel like an idjut 'cuz your favorite flower is, in fact, the 'pony' right?

I usually get flowers because I love all kinds. Ones from the yard, garden, grocery store, or florist!!! I always tell my family to give me flowers when I am alive so I can enjoy them. My only complaint about about getting them on V-Day is the price is increased because of the holiday.

I think that "ponies" means "peonies," as in our daughter's favorite flower which was everywhere at her wedding last June.:D

Yes, my bad. It should have been ies not ys. Do I have to write it on the chalk board 1000 times or can I just stay after class instead?
