This reminded me of something my niece said when she was 4. My sister and I, along with my niece were having lunch in a very crowded Atlanta Bread Co. My niece started misbehaving, and my sister told her that she was going to get a smack on her bottom if she didn't straighten up. Well my niece very loudly said "You are not suppose to talk to me like that." Every head turned and looked at out table, as if we had told the child we were going to kill her. :funn:

i threatened to call the police on my mom once, i can't remember what for now, but she said and i quote " you'd by god better hope they're just around the corner because i can beat your a** off before they get here". this is another one of mom's favorite stories she can't wait to tell anyone who will listen.

she is a great lady, altho we did not start getting along until i was out of those pesky teen years. i was an only child and grandchild on my pop's side for 10 years, so i was a bit spoiled (like i am doing to my nephew now !). the day my mom told me i was gonna have a brother or sister was the 2nd neatest day of my life - the first was when my sis was born.

That's so special! Ten years is a big space between siblings. Probably not as much rivalry though.

It wasn't bad...but we did fight sometimes. Now we are very close.

i can honestly say i have never ever fought with my sister, never even had harsh words. i would be crushed if she ever got mad at me, she has been the light of my life for almost 30 years - hee hee she will be 30 in may. at least i am not the only one with a traumatic b'day coming up !

my dad's youngest brother is only 8 yrs older than me, and we fight like cats and dogs, still can't be in the same room together without arguing. when we were younger, we would get into actual knock down-drag out fights. no wonder my grandma could wield a flyswatter like a bullwhip - man that stung !

I spoke to my friend, Sheila, this morning. She said she just got her hair done and can't stand her new "do" because "it's all sticking up like sore fingers"... Never heard that one before!
