It cracks me up that they even screen the pilots.
They can legally bring a gun on board and they don't need a bomb; they are flying one!

The pilot doesn't need a bomb. I would be pissed if I were a pilot and had to be screened.

It is absolutely ludicrous to screen flight crews, other than to be sure they are not imposters. Proper and secure ID can do that. It is their job, for cryin' out loud! Other than establishing their identity, there is no need to screen them. That said, there will always be those who attempt to circumvent the system and succeed. Witness the Army major at Ft. Hood. He was a field grade officer and had to get there with a lot of assistance from many. There will always be risks in life and it is necessary to recognize and accept them for what they are.
