We just lost one of our beloved farm dogs. We have a farm in the middle of 7,000 acreas. Our dogs spend a lot of time ALONE roaming the woods playing etc. We have automatic feeders and we see them 1 or more times per week.
Now with Sammy gone our other dog is alone. If anyone has a NICE grown dog male or female (must be fixed) that needs to be outside, let me know.
(Needs to be mid size to large to fend off cridders)

Or if anybody wants a great outside dog we have a female hound/bird dog. Very, very sweet.. fixed. Could be inside dog with a little training. about 2 years old.

Check on craigslist.com under Florida at both Pensacola Panhandle and Panama City. There are lots of dogs for free or for a low rehoming fee. I will check around for you as well.

We found a mid-size (around 40 lbs.) male, un-neutered dog running across Hwy 98 two days ago. We took him home and have not found his owner. We think he is part boxer and has lots of other breeds apparent. He seems like he has spent most of his time outdoors. He is very sweet but not leash or command trained. We think he would be happy on your farm and you would be happy with him. He is young but not a puppy. We live in Blue Mountain Beach.

We took in a stray about 2 years ago hes a super fun dog , but we have 5 dogs & with the economy like it is we really need to find a home for him his name is " Buddy" we dont think he has ever been inside he will fetch loves to swim and can escape from anything . He will need to be fixed . Please PM me if you are interested .

Get a rescue dog. On the Today Show they said that 70% of pets in the US were adopted from shelters.

We bought a show-quality dog because we decided this would be our last dog since grandchildren will hopefully be our new "pets" in the future. She is the most beautiful, smartest, and sweetest dog that we've ever had. But thanks to being so inbred for show qualities, it increased her chances of genetic defects. She inherited the tendency to get toe cancer, and we had to have one of her toes amputated last summer.

I think that a mixed-breed rescue dog is more likely not to have these defects. And you are saving a life.

I have a dog that might be just right

I have a dog that might be just the right companion for your bird dog. His name is Jeremiah and he is a rescue dog from Burlington, Ky. He is 4 1/2 years old and I have had him since he was a puppy.

I am working two jobs and need to find another situation for him. He needs to be an outside dog as I do not have a yard now. He has some type of shepherd or working dog in him and catahula - Louisians state hunting dog. Please let me know if you are interested. He is a neutered male.
