Something tells me this would not be a good time for Putin to be riding horseback exposing his ta-tas.

It's "Ukraine", not "the Ukraine", just like it's not "the America". Putin is very popular in Russia and other Russian speaking countries and will continue to be so. He is seen as a strong leader unlike our current POTUS who is weak and indecisive. This is about Russia creating an alternative to SWIFT, which should go live in a few months. READ THIS to understand the implications: http://russia-insider.com/en/2014/12/15/1890 http://rt.com/business/204459-russia-swift-payment-alternative/ If you don't already I recommend following: www.zerohedge.com http://russia-insider.com/en http://rt.com/ And a great aggregator: www.thelibertymill.com Or you can keep watching Fox News, and listen to Hannity, O'Reilly et al bang the war drum.

This weak indecisive leader has Putin on national television whining like a child over the sanctions imposed by the west.

And you saw that on which American channel? Putin is popular with the Russian people because he has showed restraint in the face of America's attempts to provoke him into starting a war. Here is the latest provocation. Read all of the items in the HR 5859 that only THREE Congressmen voted on. http://www.ronpaulinstitute.org/arc...gnited-the-cold-war-while-no-one-was-looking/

I would love to hear opinions here on WHY the US is even involved with Ukraine in the first place?
