I feel your pain BR. I don't think even Beach Crazy can catch me up!

Note: When I see Sueshore has responded to a thread titled "I Need Photo Uploading Help!", that catches my attention so I zoom over to read that! :funn:

BTW - Weston Gardens is giving tours of the stone ship off and on this weekend, so if you get tired of mulching magnolia leaves come on over.

I'm there 12 to 5 Sunday. I've been there 8 years now and haven't ever been on the ship ruins or even the swinging bridge. It's been closed off since I've been there. I may have to go on one of the Sat. tours if I want to see it.

Call for reservation before you come, but if you haven't made a reservation, I bet I could pull some strings. :funn: (They just want a general idea so they know how many docents they'll need.)

:floor: Right you are! The Bandy Estate in the '30s built a stone ship along a creek to party on (dancing, etc. --- prohibition time) We're in the country now but it was really country then ... They even hauled in sand to create a beach along the creek with a changing house and fireplace built into the side of creek. Eccentric and party atmosphere!

Check out some past articles on www.westongardens.com/wgib starting page.htm or www.westongardens.com.
