i keep telling my pop i am gonna make him a toupee with all that hair, the white and gray hairs would just about match what he has left on his head.:funn:

That reminds me of my dad...he used to want my dogs hair to make fishing lures...we laughed at him about that. Thanks for the memory.

Dory is one lucky pup....not having to be hot in the summer. Will she go to the beach? I know she would love to run in the late evening.

thanks for all your kind words ! she is much happier with short hair. she still has a very dense undercoat so she is still hot all the time, hence her personal fan. when it gets too warm out like above 70, she only goes out twice a day - when i get home at 6 or 7 am and at 6:30 pm before i go to work. she would be absolutely miserable in the heat at the beach. plus she would be scared of everything - she is a 110 lb chicken !

mr audie said last night we lost half the dog. she loves the short hair and i would keep it short year round except it is too cold for me to cut it outside in the winter. you can see the mess it makes.... one good thing, the groomer will be happy next week - she calls dory the big hairy beast !
