Double Dippers, er Triple Dippers

Senate bill boosts retirement pay for some legislators and staff | Florida politics blog: The Buzz | tampabay.com & St. Petersburg Times

Seems the more things change, the more they stay the same. In the past they changed the rules but left enough loop holes for someone to retire and then become reemployed. Idlewind you may just want to skip this one.

I love a challenge.;-)

Leave politicians in the dark and they will always help politicians. However, if they earned their 1st retirement and someone wants to hire them then one of two things should happen: either they can qualify for a 2nd retirement, or, preferably, the entity they go to work for does not have to contribute any funds to the retirement system in their stead. The worst possible outcome would be the employee can't get the retirement and the entity still is required to pay into the system. I have been told the third option is what is actually occuring, which, if true is not suprising.
