Eastern lake is open

Just got back from a sunrise trip to the beach and wanted to let all those keen fisherman know that the lake opened up over night. Might have been from those awesome storms around midnight. Also there is the best breaks I have seen on that part of the beach in 8 months. 4-5 foot, breaking nicely out back. Nice small barrels you can tuck into. Bring your wet-suit though, water was still chilly(50's F) Hope this enough time to call the boss and tell them your are suffering from a very sudden condition.

This one is a first for me. It's open, alright, and the Gulf is flowing into the lake, not the usual other way around. The outflow full of green seawater, not a drop of brown lake water. You can see a gentle flow into the lake at the little choke point where the main body of the lake empties into the outflow.

And there are gulls hanging around in the lake, too. Must be the seawater attracted them, you don't see them there normally.
